After a very rare off night for the boys of DP (I attribute it to jet lag), we regroup with a couple of hot take picks that will help you stuff your turkey this Thursday with dolla dolla billz.
Why isn't the play of Paul George being noticed by NBA fans not named Zach Lowe?? The man broke his fuckin leg so bad that there was talk he might have it amputated!! There was talk of his career being over!! He's put all of that behind him though and returned to form as one of the best two way players in the game. If the Pacers were any good he would be getting legit MVP consideration, but alas they aren't. Washington is too hot and cold to be considered a serious contender yet, so you have to take the Pacers here.
BOS +2.5 vs ATL
This is a good matchup between two deep teams without any star players that are coached extremely well. The difference in this game, and pretty much every game for Boston, is going to be the play of Isaiah Thomas. If the mini-microwave can get going I fully expect Boston to come out of the dirty dirty with a win.
GSW -17.5 vs LAL
Well, this is a first. If you know me you know my NBA gambling strategy is all about taking points between evenly matched teams and more often than not it works out. These aren't evenly matched teams. Now usually I would said the Warriors don't give two shits about playing the Lakers and will probably coast to an 11 point victory or something. But these dubs are different. They seem to be really enjoying this streak that they are riding, and I won't be surprised if they treat this closer to a Christmas Day matchup against the Cavs, rather than a Tuesday night slam piece against the Lakers that it is. Steph Curry, if you are reading this (at least a 85% chance he is right?) please cover this spread so I can start giving points again. I like doing it, but you gotta prove me right. Give the points!!
