Lets win that money back
Detroit (+1.5) @ Montreal (W)
This has been yet another up and down season for the Wings. For the second year in a row, they find themselves heading down the stretch having to fight for a playoff spot. Their head coach, Mike Babcock, has repeatedly told the media that the Wings just don’t have the depth they used to have. They begin the fight to lock down a playoff spot tonight in Montreal. Fortunately for the Wings, Carey Price will not be between the pipes for the Habs tonight. Since Detroit will be without Henrik Zetterberg for the remainder of the regular season, they’ll take all the breaks they can get. Look for Babcock to have Detroit ready to go tonight. If Montreal wins it will probably be an overtime or a shootout win.
Sugar’s Pick: Detroit +1.5
Saint Louis (-1.5) @ Vancouver (L)
The Canucks’ season has been nothing short of a disaster. Whether you blame Luongo, Tortorella, the Sedin’s, or the people of Vancouver; this year has continually progressed from bad to worse over there in the La La Land that is Vancouver. Saint Louis has had a solid season; another year supporting the belief that they are a regular season power house in the Western Conference. The Blues have been in the NHL since 1967 and have never won a Stanley Cup. The team they’ve drafted and built is capable of going all the way on paper. With the playoffs on the horizon, it’s time for the Blues to get serious. They need to be able to walk into places like Vancouver and dismantle these teams that don’t have their shit together. If they can’t, they don’t stand a chance in a place like Chicago in the Western Conference Finals.
Sugar’s Pick: Saint Louis -1.5
