NBA Summer League

Houston vs Orlando (-5) (WINNER!)
Oladipo, Elfrid Payton, and A-aron Gordon. Those are the only three names you need to know today during this game. This three should be flying all over the court doing super athletic things defensively and creating total havoc for the back court of the Rockets. Even if Oladipo only plays limited minutes, Elfrid Payton should rebound well after his timid looking initial performance from the other day. Plus Gordon is an athletic freak. And I'm talking so athletic that even when going up against the best athletes in the world he manages to do things that make him look super human. At the very least this guy will sell tickets and probably win the dunk contest twice. As for his NBA potential? Well that's still up in the air, unlike the outcome of this game.

Brooklyn (+2.5) vs OKC (L)
You ever wake up, throw on a summer league game and make yourself a nice three scooper of C4, only to ask yourself "wait, that guy is playing in summer league??" Oh normal people don't do that? Weird..well anyway this years candidate for why the hell is he still playing in summer league is definitely Steven Adams. I mean sure he's a second year player who has limited basketball exposure and needs all the court time he can get. But do you know how this guy plays?? He acts like he's playing in the basketball version of the movie the Longest Yard and his defender is that racist prison guard who beat his ass that time (like Stone Cold in the new one). Is it really worth the extra PT to throw Adams out there knowing that there is about a 85% chance he gets someone to throw a punch at him sometime in the next two weeks?? Plus he looked like a ten year vet who was very capable of playing big minutes at the NBA level, and it just doesn't seem like it worth the risk. Oh well, the Nets still have the better team in this case and watch them run and gun to victory.
