World Cup 2014

World Cup Quarter Finals

France (P) vs Germany (UNDER 2.5) *in regulation* (L, WINNER!)

Paul PogbaThe World Cup has been a treat this summer. Not only did the Americans bring this country together for weeks, but they reinvigorated the "soccer in America" discussion. Even with that remarkable, gut wrenching American run coming to a close, this World Cup has every story line you could possible want in a sporting event, starting with this France v Germany game. France has been impressive after a bizarre and outright French pussy fest at the last World Cup. Benzema and le Bleus have been a hard attacking, fast paced blur on the opposing half of the pitch. The Germans, on the other hand, started off by pissin' all over Ronaldo in their first game, then sputtering to the point of nearly losing to Algeria in their last game! I really like Germany, and you can't go wrong by picking them, but the value is with France here. Remember, the French have 21 year old PHENOM Paul "Big Africa" Pogba, which is an extremely racist, fictional nickname. Pogba is going to wreak havoc on the German midfielders and ruin there usually efficient passing game. Take the French and enjoy either a 2-0 win in regulation or an extra time goal to seal the deal and the under.

Brazil vs Colombia (+.5)  (L)

Apparently I am the only person in the world that has watched Brazil play. Their defense is garbage, they aren't Germany or France offensively, and I don't think their coach knows what the fuck he's doing! If Neymar was not playing like the next great futbol God, they would have been out of this tournament last week. Colombia on the other hand is riding an equally impressive James Rodriguez into the quarter finals and you can bet they are beyond pumped to be the underdogs in this game. Cuadrado (youtube him) and Rodriguez are going to dominate the Brazilian back line and send these boys back to the Favelas to rethink their careers. It is a shame that Neymar, who has lived up to the hype and made every minute of these Brazil games watchable, won't be in the tourney anymore, but if that's what it takes to get the Brazilian's MLS goalie back to Dallas or Compton or whatever city he plays for out of the tournament, then so bet it. Remember, Brazil is emotionally, physically and mentally (possibly spiritually, definitely sexually) SPENT after playing extra time and nearly losing on PKs. Colombia ROLLS.
