NHL Puck Drop

NHL First Puck Drop Lockz - the day is finally here.

Montreal Canadiens @ Toronto Maple Leafs
What better way is there to start off the NHL season than a classic Montreal/Toronto match up? It's no secret that these two storied franchises despise each other. There are few things that would be more pleasing to the Canadiens than spoiling the Leafs' home opener. On the other hand, there are few things that make the entire providence of Ontario more happy than watching their Leafs lay a nice ass kicking on those French speaking foreigners from Montreal. Personally I think this game could go either way. My pick is going to be on the OVER/UNDER. Since it's a rivalry game and a home opener on top of that, anyone that makes a pick on a team here is taking a shot in the dark.
Pick: UNDER 5.5 (-125)

Philadelphia Flyers @ Boston Bruins
Apparently tonight is just stacked with classic match ups.  Philly in Boston is a tough game to make a pick on.  On one hand there's the Bruins at home, the President's trophy winners. On the other side there's Philly, the team that lives to fuck shit up. I have to go with the boys from Boston though.  They're the better team; both in skill and coaching.  I expect Boston to have another very solid year. Plus, Tuukka Rask is a foreign puck stopping machine.
Pick: Boston (-200)

San Jose Sharknado @ Los Angeles Kings
San Jose: the team that had everything and accomplished nothing. LA: the team that accomplished everything out of almost nothing.  LA is at home, they're going to raise a seven hundred foot long banner showing the Sharks that, once again, they won the Stanley Cup and the Sharks still have not.  The Sharks are older, kinda washed up, and not about to go into LA and take down the young and  talented Kings in their home opener.  Quick will probably get a shutout.
Pick: Los Angeles -1.5 (+210)

Vancouver Canucks @ Calgary Flames
Vancouver is going to be a force in yeah West this year, mark my words.  Calgary is going to bet their shit kicked in by a much faster, more talented, and better coached Canuck squad.  Vancouver had a down year but they got their shit straightened out in the off season. Ryan Miller will be starting in net for the Nucks. That speaks volumes by itself.

Pick: Vancouver Canucks (-120)
