SAC +11.5 vs. LAC
I was dead wrong about Sacramento apparently last night. Instead of a feeling out period like I predicted, Sac town came out in full force last night against Boston and absolutely murdered the Celtics. I'm hoping that what happened was George Karl walked in to the locker room and said "well guys I'm not sure what your previous coaches were telling you, but lets just go out and let Demarcus/Rudy Gay run the show because they are a lot better than any of you" or something along those lines, because that's how they played. Look for them to keep the momentum going tonight against the Clippers, scoring an upset victory and starting the Karl era off on a 2 game heater.
TOR +2 vs. HOU
The Raptors had a huge win last night against the supposed east favorite Atlanta Hawks. This Raptors team is deep, everyone knows their role, executes it perfectly and are a direct contrast to free firing Rockets squad they take on tonight. Look for the discipline of Toronto to shine through as they play team ball and coast to a 10 point win.
OKC (-7.5) vs. CHA
Even without Durant or any of the pieces acquired in their trade deadline dealings, I will still take the Thunder in this spot. Westbrook always picks up the slack when Durant sits out and this game should be no exception. Also Rus Rus could definitely drop 50+; he's been on a tear lately and Charlotte has no guards that can defend him properly. Thunder win this one easy, Westbrook goes off for fiddy.
PHX (+10.5) vs. CHI
This is really a wild card type pick. Everyone hates the Suns moves from the deadline, losing both Dragic and IT while getting Danny Granger and Brandon Knight in return. For me however, the jury is still out. Its too early to say whether or not this was a good trade until we see it action. I think the Suns come out eager to prove a point tonight and score an upset road victory in the windy city.
