Post Holiday Picks

The staff here at Dirty Picks have decided to kick things up a notch starting today. How are we doing this?  With our first ever, possibly semi-annual, Pickoff.  Now, Pickoff’s come in all shapes and sizes (obviously), so let’s layout the rulez for this here contest:

1. Each participant will start with 20 DPD’z (Dirty Pick Dollaz)

2. One and ONLY one pick may be entered into the contest per day

3. The player may wager any amount of his/her choice.

4. There are no bailouts. (This isn’t the U.S. government) If you run out of DPD’z you are out.

5. A pick may be made on any game listed on Bovada that day.

6. The contest will begin on February 11, 2015 and conclude on February 18, 2015. 

7. The winner will be decided by total earnings retained upon the end of the contest period.

8. The winner will receive a prize from each losing participant valued $10.

9. The prizes will be purchased on Amazon or something.

Mr. Nutz - Shakhtar Donetsk v Bayern Munich 8.30 DPD to win 7.90 DPD

Well this was an easy pick. Bayern is playing like the best team in the world right now and with their talent (Gotze, Mueller, Robben) and penchant for scoring, this could be a 4-1 type of contest. Let's not forget, Shakhtar, despite having a sweet name, basically is in the middle of a giant warzone right now, so they probably have other things on their mind.  Though they are featuring the tournament's leading scorer, Luiz Adriano (9 goals) I don't expect Shakhtar to compete with Bayern today. Manuel Neur has been insane this past year, INSANE.

Catz - PSG v Chelsea (OVER 2) (even) 5 DPDs to win 4.17 DPD

Haven't watched very much soccer this season, don't really know anything about these two teams or what type of game this even is. But if you know me, you know that none of those things will stop me from taking the over here!! I like my soccer like I like my women; tons of goals!! Haha just kidding, I literally have no standards...but seriously there will be plenty of goals scored in this game. Look for Costa and Zlatan to get on the board early in this one and then some random defender to get the third!! Propelling Catz to the pole position in our pickoff contest!!
