College Football Conference Championship Picks

Florida vs Alabama

Pick: Florida +18

Does anyone (besides the ignorant Bama fans) think Florida won’t cover this line?  I don’t think Bama is anything special compared to some of the teams they've had over the past decade.  This year’s Bama team is good, not great.  The SEC Championships is being held in Upset City this year.  The fact that Florida is an 18 point underdog should infuriate the Gators just enough to cover this spread and maybe pull off a memorable upset that keeps the SEC out of the playoffs.

USC vs Stanford

Pick: USC +4.5

PAC12 Championship on the line and I love the USC Trojans.  This USC team was supposed to be a playoff contender this year.  Their former HC screwed them over but I’m not here to take shots at a guy with much bigger problems than a football team.  USC has rallied around their interim and newly named head coach.  They look like a solid football team.  Stanford isn’t exactly a limp noodle but I’m rolling with the Trojans.

North Carolina vs Clemson

Pick: Clemson -5

I would love to see Clemson get their asses handed to them in the ACC championships.  Carolina fans think their team is the best team since the 2002 Red Wings but, like all college fan bases, they’re borderline insane.  This isn’t basketball.  Clemson will probably roll on the Tar Heels and coast into the playoffs.

Michigan State vs Iowa

Pick: Michigan State -4

Michigan State is going to roll on Iowa like they’re the local middle school flag football team.  Michigan State is hitting on all cylinders and it couldn't be at a better time.  Congratulations to Iowa for a fantastic season.  But now it’s time to play the first real team you’ve played all season.
