NBA Picks

After a long, arduous few weeks we are almost to the end of some of these first round playoff series. Primarily we are going to focus on one series: game 5 between the Wizards and Bulls.

WAS (+4) at CHI (OVER 183) (WINNER!) (L)
Oh shit!! The Wizards roll into Chi-Raq tonight with the chance to close out the series and move on to the second round for the first time since before the cell phone was invented. The Wizards also get a boost from Nene coming back from his one game suspension, being well rested and ready to make an impact. Look for the Bulls to give 260% effort, but ultimately collapse in the last two minutes and watch the Wiz move on to the second round!

MEM (+7) at OKC (OVER 187) (WINNER!) (WINNER!)
You don't give the grind house 7 points! As you may have noticed, I love the Grizz and hate the Thunder so you may want to disregard this pick. But isn't this a weird line to with that O/U? 187 essentially means we're expecting 93.5 points as the average for both teams here, which is slightly below league average. So if we're expecting a Grizz style, low scoring game that will probably be close if these playoffs are any indication, the only one thing can happen: The Thunder will come out and struggle to score, but go one one big run to get them to 97 points. The Grizz will be the Grizz and forget how to score for long periods of time because Tayshaun Prince plays for them, resulting in 80 points. THAT WONT HAPPEN! Take the Grizz and the over in case OKC explodes for a win.

LAC (-7) at GS (OVER 210) (WINNER!) (WINNER!)
This right here is a BAD PICK. I can not stress enough that I am only picking this based on the fact that everyone is going to be super pumped about the Sterling ruling. The fans, players, coaches, media, it's going to be celebratory. I expect a double dosage of Lob City and CP3 finally getting his shit together as the Clips cruise.
