Backing the Pacers with Bobby Catz
IND (+6.5) at MIA (UNDER 182.5) (L) (L)
Catz: As you may have guessed from the title of this piece, I like the Pacers to cover this 6.5 point spread. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Heat fan and have been backing this team from the beginning, but this series is not as lopsided as some pundits would have you believe. The Pacers are a mind numbing Lebron and Wade fourth quarter run from being up 2-0 in this series and have definitely outplayed Miami for six or seven quarters of the eight. I expect this game to stay close throughout and even if the Heat pull it out in the closing seconds, there is no way they blow this team out. Defensive struggle that leads to a low scoring Heat win.BJ: First off, Catz has not been backing this Heat team from the beginning, so let's get that cleared up. I do agree with him on this spread. At this point in the conference finals, it's hard to see 4 or 5 points, 6.5 is too much (unless you're the Thunder because they suck). What I like most in this game is the Pacers road hardness. That's right, they are a hard team to beat on the road. I would honestly say that they might be a better team on the road after seeing some of the shit storms they plopped down in earlier rounds. If the Pacers can match Lance Stephenson's fearlessness and aggression, I think this could be an outright win for the underdogs.
AFL
PIT (-2.5) at ORL (L)
Love this Pitt team, one of the few that actually plays D in the AFL
WNBA
SEA at WAS (-5.5) (L)
Couldn't name a player on this Washington squad if I wanted to, but Seattle is garbage and probably the worst team in WNBA history.
