Sugar's Monday Picks
Boston (-130) @ Montreal (L)
This game is definitely worth your time to watch. I expect both sides to come out playing their best hockey of the post season. It's going to take Boston's best game to close this series on the road tonight and like wise, it's going to take Montreal and Carey Price's best game to keep their season alive. I like Boston to win it for several reasons. The first is they are the more talented team; if both teams play their best game Boston should win. The second is Boston has a history of winning big games on the road in the playoffs; Julian's no excuses, no bullshit, and team above self style of coaching has been planted within this Bruins team for a while now. In a game like tonight's, it's most likely going to boil down to which team plays better defensively and I wouldn't bet against Boston in that situation, ever.
Will either team score in the first 10 minutes of the game?
-NO (-110) (L)
I just don't think Price or Rask will give up anything early on.
Team to score first?
-Montreal (-110) (WINNER!)
I don't have a real reason to explain this one. I just see tonight's game going back and forth with Montreal getting the first lead and Boston taking it away in the third.
Los Angeles @ Anaheim (-130) (WINNER!)
The Ducks are coming off the 2 biggest wins of their whole season. With the season on the line the Ducks responded and shifted the momentum in the series. It's hard to tell what the atmosphere is like in the LA locker room right now. On one hand it's only the second round and the Kings have already been through hell and back, I wonder how much they have left in the tank mentally. But on the other hand, they've shown incredible resilience and will not go down easily. I like the Ducks at home and I like the desperation Anaheim has been playing with the past 2 games.
Team to score first?
-Anaheim (-115) (WINNER!)
The Ducks offense is scary on paper and I'm hoping they're scary on the ice tonight.
Total shots on goal for Anaheim:
-OVER 27.5 (-120) (L)
