Free NBA Playoff Round 2 Picks
San Antonio (-3.5) at Portland (UNDER 211)
(L) (WINNER!)
Does anyone else feel like this is going to be one of those "fuck it" games from Portland? Don't get me wrong, they're a great, fun, young team with a bright future, but...They aren't winning this series and they're damn sure not as fresh as the Spurs. San Antonio has picked them apart, just as Catz and I predicted before the series and Lillard and Aldridge have been too shaky offensively to hang. Game 3 was very telling, as it showed the Blazers, even with hometown energy, just aren't well coached enough to win. Pop and the Spurs KNOW they can win this and probably watch the Clips and Thunder battle to a 7 game series. If they can close it out and get a week of rest before the next series, we could be seeing another Western Conference Champions banner for the Spurs. It's been a pleasure watching and picking the Blazers all year as most people either did not pay attention to them or doubted their team as a whole. With Lillard, Aldridge and Batum, Rip City will be one of the toughest matchups in the NBA and I can only hope they learn from this brutal series with the Spurs and turn it into fuel for next year. BUT WHO KNOWS, they'll probably win out and beat Miami in the Finals now that I buried them. If they win this one, I won't be upset, but I do feel like it's one of those "We're done, we're tired and we don't want to fly to San Antonio just to get knocked out of the playoffs and fly back" deals. The Spurs go hard and win 106-89.
MIA (-2) at BKN (UNDER 187.5)
(WINNER!) (L)Did you watch the ending of the last game between these two teams? The Nets were drilling 3's in the face of the Heat and basically ran them off the court in the fourth quarter. As the time ticked off the clock, the Nets were hooting and hollerin like they had just taken a chokehold on the series, and not a team down 2-1. Meanwhile Lebron stood on the other side of the court grimacing looking over at the Nets bench and talking a mental note for Game 4. Well ladies and gentlemen, game 4 has arrived and it's not going to be pretty for the Nets. Lebron is going to have a classic Lebron shit all over arguably his two biggest rivals in the NBA game, no less than 55, 15 dimes and 13 rebounds. Heat win big, lock down d keeps Brooklyn from taking this one over.
