2014 World Cup

World Cup Picks

Ivory Coast (P +165) vs Colombia (OVER 2.5 +110) (L) (WINNER!)

Drogba FightYou do not bet against Drogba. He will come into your home, take your gold, your women and your dignity. The one time EPL star striker has now been relegated to the bench, but his presence was very much felt in the IC's first game against Japan. He walked on the pitch knowing that he had the biggest balls in the stadium that day and the Ivory Coast immediately won the game. Colombia is certainly a talented team, but a 3-0 victory over Greece isn't doing it for me. I'll take one half of Drogba for the win in a 3-1 snoozer.

Uruguay vs England (ML EVEN) (OVER 2.5 +105) (L) (WINNER!)

This is it for Wayne Rooney. His last chance to get on the board, his last chance to make an impact for England. If England lose this match, it's over. That put's a lot of pressure on the once up and coming, now questionable and aging English star. Not only is he playing for his legacy, but new Man U coach Louis Van Gaal (the Netherlands Manager) is starting to work up quite a rapport with Dutch striker Robin Van Persie. With RVP dominating this World Cup and Rooney fading, Van Gaal may decide to push for his Dutch player while taking a bit of the star of ol' Wayne. One thing is for sure, England can't lose this match. Uruguay looked like garbage last game and England was at least competitive with Italy. This one should end 3-0, and Rooney needs to make 2 of those goals happen.

Greece vs Japan (+120) (L)
I can't pick against a guy as timeless, reliable, and fuel efficient as Honda. Japan lost a close one to Ivory Coast in the first match while Greece got embarrassed by Columbia. I think it will be a tight game but the speed and technical soundness of the Japanese will ultimately win out.
