Friday NHL LOCKDOWN

Dallas (EVEN) @ New Jersey
The Devils head into tonight's game with three straight losses.  Dallas on the other hand is 3-1 in their last 4 with their only loss coming in overtime to the Flyers.  The Stars' offense has been rolling lately, scoring 18 goals in their last 4 games.  New Jersey on the other hand has only found the back of the net 9 times the past 4 games.  Dallas should keep things rolling tonight on the road against a slumping Devils' team.

Tampa (-120) @ Winnipeg
Tampa's been struggling to produce consistent scoring lately but they've still found ways to win.  The Jets are 1-4 in their last 5 with their only win coming against Carolina.  One of the traits of successful teams is finding ways to win games when you're not playing your best.  At the end of the game the only thing that actually matters is whether or not your team has more goals than the other.  Tampa's ability to pull out wins makes them the solid choice in this game.

Vancouver (+120) @ Colorado
After the best regular season in a long time last year, Colorado seems to have taken a few steps backward this season.  They aren't scoring enough and they're losing games to mediocre teams.  The Avs head into tonight having lost their last 3. The Nucks aren't much better, 1-2 in their last 3. However, their losses came to Dallas and Tampa, opposed to Colorado who just lost to Florida at home.  Ryan Miller should be in net for Vancouver. If you take into account Colorado's lack of offensive production this year, the Nucks become the obvious choice.

Carolina @ Edmonton -1.5 (+170)
If Buffalo is bad, then Carolina is god damn awful.  The Canes are they only winless team in the NHL.  Even Buffalo has won a game. Ironically it came against the Canes.  Edmonton has a potent offense capable of scoring in bunches.  Carolina woes come as a result of a sub par roster compounded with the trade rumors of their captain.  I can only imagine they're just counting the days until their west coast road trip is over.  Edmonton rolls at home and sends the Canes home winless.

Columbus @ Anaheim -1.5 (+140)
OVER 5.5 (-105)

Two of the most productive offenses in the league right now go head to head in the Honda Center tonight.  Anaheim has been operating like a well oiled machine, 5-0 in their last 5 games.  They've won 3 of those 5 by 3 goals or more.  This game should definitely go over since both teams have been finding the back of the net a lot this season.  Unlike a team like Tampa, Anaheim doesn't win by finding ways to win difficult games.  The Ducks win their games in overwhelming fashion, burying their opponents by 3 or 4 goal differentials.
