NHL Picks

Last night: 5-1

Detroit (+105) @ Washington
These teams have nearly identical records over their last 5 games. I'm rolling with Detroit on the road. They're more talented overall and have the best coach in the world. If you disagree with Babcock being the best, well, you just don't know that much about hockey. The Wings are an offensively dominant squad; the top 6 for Detroit are amongst the best in the league. Washington is solid because they have Ovi. If you take Ovechkin away they are a lower tier team. One guy is rarely enough to beat the Wings.

Nashville (-125) @ Edmonton
OVER 5.5 (+105)

Edmonton has been rolling lately and Nashville is coming off their first regulation loss of the year. After being shutout by the Penguins last game, tonight has bounce back snipe show written all over it for the Preds.  The Oilers aren't about to get shutout at home with all the scoring power they have. Nashville rolls in a high scoring battle.
