NHL Thursday

THURSDAY NHL LOCKZ

After a week of making NHL picks we are 10-10-1.  This is substantially lower than what we typically knock down.  Don't worry though, once the NHL stables out and we get further into the season my picks will be more consistent.  I have a good feeling about tonight's picks though.

San Jose @ NY Islanders
Two potent offenses meet up.  Both teams have started the season on fire this year so I'm not going to make a pick on a winner.  I like the over here.  Both teams have been lighting the lamp a lot this year.
Pick: OVER 5.5 (-115)

Dallas @ Pittsburgh
Cros and Co take on Jamie Benn and his crew from Dallas.  The Stars are looking solid once again.  Tyler Seguin is evolving as an elite goal scorer in the league.  The public is going to go with the Pens here most likely.  Seguin just scored his 5th hattrick of his short career last game and the Stars are rolling right  now.  I'm going with the upset pick, Dallas FTW.
Pick: Dallas (+150)

Carolina @ NY Rangers
A struggling Hurricane team heads to MSG tonight to face the Rangers.  NY hasn't looked like the best team in the East yet this year.  I don't think hey will fall to Carolina though.
Pick: NY Rangers (-200)

Colorado @ Ottawa
Colorado comes into tonight after losing in OT to Toronto on Tuesday.  I think Colorado has a lot more offensive talent  than Ottawa overall.  They haven't been playing as well as last year but it's only a matter of time until this team goes off for 5-6 goals. I'm banking on them wining tonight.
Pick: Colorado (-110)

St. Louis @ Los Angeles
I like Oshie in LA tonight.  Watch for Tarasenko to get in on the action as well. The Blues have potential to be one of the best teams in the league this year.  Games against he defending champs are a good place to start proving it.
Pick: St. Louis (+115)

Boston @ Montreal
Boston had to go to a shootout to get by Detroit last night.  Right now the Habs are playing better than a lot of teams.  I haven't seen Boston look like the President's trophy winners they were last year.  I like the Habs at home in this one.

Pick: Montreal (-125)
