With the other two "pros" indisposed at the moment, Catz is here to rescue the day with a couple of life saving NBA picks. Lately I have been using the strategy of taking points as often as possible, and the results speak for themselves!!
PHI (+11.5) vs. NYK
At first glance I was really hesitant to make this one of my locks, but who else would you feel comfortable with the Sixers getting points against?? If this were any other team I would have serious doubts about their ability to cover, but luckily, its the Knicks!! The Knicks do get Jose Calderon back tonight for his season debut, but even that won't be enough as they LOSE and give the Philadelphia 76'ers one of their only wins on the season.
HOU (+3.5) vs. DAL
Something about this game intrigues me. Maybe its the fact that Dallas just dropped a 140 burger on the Lakers the other night, or possibly that D12 sat out last game with a back injury that no one knew about until five minutes before the game. Either way, I like James Harden and James Harden's beard to control this game, dropping a forty burger of his own as the Rockets get the road win in their home state.
UTAH (+3) vs. NOP
This is one of our classic gambler "must" bets. You must bet on the Jazz if they are playing at home no matter who the opponent is. Think about it, teams that are traveling for four straight months have to hate making the trip out to SLC. Its a dry county run by Mormons in freezing Utah in November. Seriously, the town shuts down after 9pm. Look for a sluggish Pelicans team that lets this game slip away in the fourth quarter and loses a heartbreaker to the Jazz on the road.
