I love the Hawks so this is a difficult pick. Most of the action tonight is on ATL because they are filthy. The Wolves have sucked this year, but they are riding a 3 game win streak with Ricky Rubio back and 6 points might be too many for a home team with talent. Pek, Wiggins and Rubio should be able to hold their own tonight.
ORL (+9.5) vs. WAS
WAY TOO MANY POINTS ALERT!!! The Wizards aren't exactly the 2002 Red Wings, so anything over 7 points for a team not named the New York Knicks is a solid bet here. Little added bonus, this happens to be my favorite dog team of the year and they just fired their coach who despite having a talented roster wasn't getting anything out of this squad. Look for the Magic to start playing much improved bball and don't be surprised if this is a 1-2 point game at the end.
UTAH (+3.5) vs. NOP
Getting 3.5 points against a team that has absolutely nothing outside of an injured Anthony Davis? Sign me up....hold on we have a developing story, Davis has been ruled out for tonight's game!! Absolutely take this line, the Pelicans are the like the Indianapolis Colts without Andrew Luck, when Davis sits. Terrible, terrible garbage team that no one should take in a game, I don't even care against who. Only chance the Pelicans have tonight is if Eric Gordon goes absolutely bananas, and there's a better chance of him getting hurt than dropping 30.
LAC (+9) vs. DAL
Brought this one up in the morning meeting and I thought ole Nutz was gonna blow a head gasket (the worst gasket to blow, trust me)!! HE HATES THE CLIPPERS! I repeat, HATES THE CLIPPERS, and according to Zach Lowe most NBA front offices feel the exact same way. Apparently fans don't enjoy an entire team of guys who throw a temper tantrum every time they drive to the basketball and don't get a call. Well I'm not exactly huge on Lob City, but 9 points is way too damn many, even against the Mavs. Sure they got blowed last night by the Thunder, but that was the Thunder in OKC. Not the Mavs in Dallas without Rondo. Take the points here.
