2015 Masters Tournament
Top 5 Finish Picks
Jordan Spieth
Odds: 7/4
Spieth heads to Augusta with one first place finish and two second place finishes in his last three tournaments. This guy is one of the favorites to win it all this year and he’s only 21 years old. On top of that he finished tied for 2nd here last year. He’s playing some of the best golf of his life heading into this weekend. The only thing that could bring this rising star down is his lack of experience. Spieth should definitely finish top 5 this weekend.
Bubba Watson
Odds: 2/1
The defending champion of the Masters is a solid bet to be in the hunt all weekend. He’s coming off a several week break from the tour, during which time I imagine he was preparing for this weekend. Watch for Bubba to crush the ball off the tee and make a run at his third Green Jacket.
Tiger Woods
Odds: 8/1
What Tiger will we see this time around at Augusta National? If you haven’t heard, Tiger played a practice round Monday and stunned those who were watching. Apparently he appeared calm, relaxed, and agile. He looked better than he has all year so far. With an 8/1 payout it’s worth a shot especially if you’re a Tiger fan.
Top 10 Finish Picks
Matt Kuchar
Odds: 5/2
Out of ten tournaments this season, Kuchar has placed in the top 10 four times. Take that with a grain of salt though because this is the Masters at Augusta National. He’s been up and down week to week, like most golfers, but Kuchar is capable of rising to the occasion. He finished 3rd at Augusta in 2012. He’s a good bet to finish in the top 10 this year; he’s right in the heart of his prime as a professional golfer and has been dancing around winning a major.
Zach Johnson
Odds: 6/1
The 2007 Masters Champion has finished in the top 10 in 30% of the tournaments he’s entered this season (3 out of 9). Basically, Zach Johnson proved he can compete with the best golfers in the world on the biggest stage in 2007. I think he’ll bring his A-game and have a good showing this weekend landing him somewhere on the back end of the top 10.
Rickie Fowler
Odds: 3/1
The man who finished 5th in last years’ Masters. Fowler has only been competing professionally since 2009 but that hasn’t stopped him from making himself known. 2014 was the best season of Rickie’s career thus far. The Masters is as big as it gets for a golfer and Fowler should be in the hunt this year.
Top 20 Finish Picks
Jason Dufner
Odds: 3/1
Duffy isn’t having the best year exactly. He’s competed in 8 tournaments this season so far and has just one top 10 finish to show for it. Don’t you turn your back on Ole Duff though just yet. The Masters is a perfect opportunity for Dufner to turn his season around. No reason he can’t finish top 20.
Keegan Bradley
Odds: 9/4
Bradley’s one of those guys that could surprise everyone and make a run at a jacket. It is unlikely, but not impossible. The 28 year old has been on the pro tour for 7 years now and has plenty of experience. A top 20 finish is very doable for Keegan and probably not something he would be excited about.
Seung-yul Noh
Odds: 8/1
The 23 year old Korean is a long shot but I’m trying to win you some money. Noh hasn’t been doing anything special this year, but hey, it’s the Masters. Throw some money on this guy and see what happens.
