Wednesday's Super Cool Top 5 Picks!

MIA -8 vs. NYK

To be honest, I don't get this pick either. Suggested to me by the editor in chief, the only reason I am agreeing to put it up is because I have to throw him a bone every once in a while. Knicks are hot right now after sweeping a home and home against the Hawks, while Miami is injured with Hassan Whiteside expected to be out again tonight. The only thing going for the Heat in this game is that the Knicks are on the second night of a back-to-back which they typically struggle with. Hopefully that trend continues tonight.

WAS +7 vs. CLE

The Wizards have somehow morphed into a semi decent squad without Bradley Beal in the lineup. I suppose it's because John Wall decides to go full all-pro mode, dominating the ball and doing everything it takes to get the W. Wall always shows up when he goes against other all-star caliber guards and even if Kyrie doesn't play tonight, I expect JWall to bring the A game.

DET +3 vs. BOS

Brandon Jennings turned the corner the other night for the Pistons, helping them secure a huge win. If he continue to play at that level, it is gigantic news for the struggling second unit of the Pistons. Honestly if Detroit was smart they would go get Markieff Morris on the cheap from Phoenix and pair him with his brother on the second line. They could add depth, shooting, and a happy set of Morris twins which always leads to them playing out of their minds. At the very least hopefully the triumvirate of Jennings, Jackson and Drummond get the W tonight in Boston.

CHA -2 vs. PHX

Speaking of those Suns, ol' Jeffy Hornaceck said to the media today that he expects things to turn around after he took his team out for a bowling trip to get away from basketball and build the camaraderie up a little bit. Will it work? Probably not, but at least he's trying harder to save his job than Johnny Manziel is in Cleveland. Back to the drawing board for ol' Jeffy after they get blown out by the Hornets at home.

DEN +3.5 vs. MIN

This is a pretty simple numbers bet. Wolves are 3-14 against the spread at home. I'll take those odds any day. Grab the points!
