BJ's MLB Picks

I'm back! I know that I have been pretty scattered when it comes to putting up MLB picks, but would you rather have me put out picks every day and go 55%, or every once in a while and go 69%? For the time being, you are going to have to live with only getting a few picks per week; a minor annoyance if you ask me. Nothing like listening to some vegan talk about how much of an unhealthy dick you are, or some crossfit "athlete" tell you how pointless it is that you go to the gym to lift and do cardio instead of crossfit. God I hate those people. As a matter of fact, I'd rather listen to a group of old white guys talk baseball for 3 straight hours while eating Cracker Jacks, than hang out with some crossfit douchebucket that can't stop talking about how intense and competitive he is. Listen dude, your back doesn't hurt because, "that's what crossfit feels like." It hurts because you're improperly lifting the fuckin weights. You're not "sore", your body is just permanently damaged, congratulations and enjoy being injured for the rest of your life. Back to an actual sport....

Tampa Bay (+1.5) at Baltimore (Postponed)
Evan Longoria
The Rays got a little too much love early on this year. People had them penciled into the World Series and they are kind of looking like a wild card team. No worries, they play in a decent division and have plenty of talent and one of the best managers in the game.

Washington Nationals (-184) at Miami (L)
This one is for the Catz. He wanted Natties -1.5 and I said no. Only because they have been wildly inconsistent this year and the Marlins have been able to keep games close somehow. I recommend taking the ML here and throwing it in a parlay. Take the -1.5 if you just want to go solo.

Seattle Mariners (+1.5) at Texas (L)
The Mariners are a decent offensive team this year. Now, Blake Beavan is not a guy that is going to instill a lot of confidence in most folks, but Texas is really banged up. Roll with the Smoak machine and see what happens.

St. Louis (+1.5) at Milwaukee (WINNER!)
The Brew Crew has been great this year, but I think all that is going to slow down as we get into the meat of the season. The Cardinals will start to rise to the occasion and today should be a solid 6-5 win for one of these teams.

Oakland (+1.5) at LA Angels (WINNER!)
The Angels don't have pitching, Hamilton is out and the A's love to surprise the shit out of people.

LA Dodgers at San Francisco (-103) (WINNER!)
The FREAK! I always back the Gigantes whenever Lincecum pitches, so this is an easy one. The Dodgers have done a great job of helping us out here at Dirty Picks, by sucking every time we pick against them. I expect more of the same tonight and a Freak Fest well into the 8th inning.

Colorado (+1.5) at San Diego (WINNER!)
The Rockies have a 0 point differential, the Padres are -8, comprende?

BJ's Climax Picks of the Week

Well folks it's Friday, the end of the work week and the end of a fantastic week of baseball picks. That's right, I've fully embraced baseball as a gambling mans game. I'm picking 6 games tonight as the climax to this work week. Once again, I'm rarely confident in these baseball picks so take it as you will.

Free MLB Picks

St. Louis (+1.5) at Pittsburgh (L)
Wacha CardinalsThe Cardinals have become the Spurs/Patriots of baseball. They're always there in the end and could care less about star power. Pittsburgh has definitely turned to things around, but Sid Crosby isn't walkin through that door.

NY Yankees (-137) at Toronto (WINNER!)
I'm caught up in Tanaka fever!!! This is a dumb bet, but I don't care! This dude is rich and he can probably throw the ball!!

SD at Miami (+1.5) (WINNER!)
Texas at Tampa (-143) (WINNER!)

LA Angels  (-157) at Blastros (WINNER!)
This one hurts, I love the Blastros and they love to piss me off. Today, I'm trusting that Mike Trout and co. can right the  ship against one of the leagues first teams.

SEA (+1.5) at Oakland (Postponed)
The Mariners got screwed last night, but still covered. Until they lose, I'm riding Cano, the Smoak Monster and the rest of these "athletes" to W's.

Free MLB Picks

BJ's Freaky, Smoaky MLB Picks

Day by day my love of picking baseball gets closer to matching Sugar's overall love of the game. And as Sugar has come back from his tour of 5 of the most famous ballparks in America, I had to pick his brain a little. Here's a little wisdom he dropped on me, about America's game: People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."

That's deep stuff right there, something only a true wood slinger can relate to. Today, I'm going to go HAM and offer more ridiculous baseball picks, based on pretty much nothing.

San Francisco (+1.5) @ Arizona (WINNER!)
Lincecum PitchLet's hope we get the good "Freak" tonight and not the extremely erratic, 10 home runs in the first Freak a strong outing from Lincecum guarantees a cover. Of course he might not play with food poisoning so there's that too.

Boston (+1.5) @ Baltimore (WINNER!)

Toronto @ Tampa (-150) (WINNER!)
Tampa needs to turn this shit around! They've been consistent losers all week!

Houston (+1.5) at NY Yankees (L)
Smoak Home RunYeah, I'm taking the Blastros, what of it?! They've beat the hell out of the Yankees this week and though they ma be the Philadelphia 76ers of the MLB, I ain't scared!

Seattle (+1.5) @ Oakland (WINNER!)
Well I thought last night was a bad pick and this new guy James Paxton came out and dominated. Tonight is an even worse idea as the Mariners start trotting out random dudes at pitcher. We did see another Smoak Bomb yesterday, so I have no choice but to ride the Smoak Monster into battle!
