After a great AFL debut where I went 4-0, I was excited to get back on the horse and pick some more games...only to find out that they don't actually have any more games until Thursday. Yet I was determined not to let that discourage me, and decided to jam that NBA needle right back in my arm.
OKC (+2) at IND (L)
One of the last big matchups of the NBA season. Four months ago this game would have been a probable finals preview, now it looks like Indiana might be lucky to make it out of the second round. If you are taking Indiana to cover this spread you are either an idiot or a hockey fan (usually the same thing) because they have been absolutely brutal all year against spreads. Why they would be able to pull one out of their ass against one of the best teams in the league is beyond me, take the Thunder and the points and enjoy the win.
MIN (pk) at SAC (L)
Sacramento was terrible before they lost Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas who were responsible for 2/3 of their points basically. Last game Corey Fuckin Brewer scored 50 points. Read that last sentence again, someone is who not known for being anything resembling an offensive weapon scored fifty! Though there is a better chance of hell freezing over than him replicating this feat tonight, I still like the Wolves to run away with this one.
MEM (-12.5) at LAL (L)
An absolute must win game for the Grizz, but then again every game has been like that for them since the all star break. LA has absolutely zero to play for and will probably sit people in order to get some of the younger players valuable playing time. Look for a ton of post ups and low post clinics and finish that off with just a dash of Mike Conley and you have a recipe for a 20 point victory over the Lakers.
GS at POR over 200.5 (WINNER!)
These teams both of have some fire power and aren't really playing for anything besides good health for next weeks playoffs. That means the focus won't be on defense, but rather putting some of the young guys out there to see what they can do mainly on the offensive end. Look for a sloppy team that features a bunch of points in transition and easy backdoor lay-ins.
