Dirty Picks' NHL Playoff Preview and Puck Picks!

Catz's Pick:

Ladies and gentlemen, it's NHL playoff time!! Lace up those skates, make sure the gloves are on tight, and throw some extra tape on those ankles you bender. Get ready as you get the pleasure of watching grown ass men drop all kinds of stink bombs glove side because they are too fancy to go stick side! The real question I'm sure everyone is asking though is who should I put my money on Bobcat? First off don't ever talk to the Catz like an equal, but I'll still give you a little pick action. The Pittsburgh Penguins have an extremely talented squad and the probable MVP Sidney Crosby. As I'm sure everyone who is slightly familiar with the game knows, this guy is a flat out winner. Look for Sid the kid to throw this team on his back and carry them all the way to holding Lord Stanley's cup at the end (7/1). Interested in being a little more risky with your money, and really going all in? Back the Colorado Avalanche. The Avalanche have been the darlings of the NHL season and most of the credit goes to their stellar rookie Nathan Mackinnon. This young player is easily one of the top five rising stars in the league and looks like a young Gretzky at times. Don't be surprised if the mile "super high" city of Denver shocks some teams and makes a solid run to the finals. There you are two solid teams to back in the upcoming NHL playoffs, so  sit back throw some games on, get yourself a rack of PBR's and act like a Philadelphia Flyers fan getting obnoxiously blacked out as you enjoy some hockey! 

Sugar's Pick:

All of you are probably sitting at home wondering who you should bet on to win the Stanley Cup. Well, stop worrying because I'll make that decision for you. First of all, the team you definitely should NOT bet on is the Colorado Avalanche. A team carried by guys all drafted in the last 5 years does not have what it takes to win a Stanley Cup. Stanley Cup winning clubs always have solid veteran leadership.  Your money would be well spent if you bet on Anaheim (9/1)to win it all this year. They have the leadership, they have the filthy goal scorers, they have a great goalie, and they're solid as fuck on the point. Fuck with some money on Anaheim and see what happens. My next pick is another team in the West. Chicago (8/1). People haven't been talking a lot about Chicago winning it all. Have you forgotten they're the defending Stanley Cup champions? They have the same squad as last year and Patrick Kane just came out and said he's ready to win the Cup again. They're well rounded, well coached, and have won 2 Cups in the past 4 seasons. My final pick comes out of the East. Unfortunately, it's Boston (7/2). Boston is tough to argue with. They're a great playoff team. They were on another level than the rest of the league this year. On top of that, Boston always finds another level to go to in the Playoffs. They will be a tough out this year. 

BJ's Pick:

Look at these noobs. You aren't going to win any money with either of those picks. My pick, the Tampa Bay Lightning. I predict that Stephen Stamkos has a HISTORIC playoff run and propels the Bolt Squad to an epic Stanley Cup Victory! Anders Lindback will be getting the start between the pipes for TB, and I expect hime to somehow become the "hot goalie" of the playoffs. Oh yeah, they're 25/1. You're welcome!
