Thank God! The World Cup is finally here and it's time for one of the most intriguing, fun and competitive events we have in sports. As you all know, the Cup will be raised in "somewhere between 2nd and 3rd world country" Brazil. Besides all the hoopla about the fields not being ready and mass corruption, today is going to be awesome because we will finally get to see what all the Brazilian National Team hype is all about. The Brazilians are the heavy favorites to win this year, but I'm just not seeing it. Remember in 2010 when they were Nike hype machine all summer, with Ronaldinho becoming the face of the team and the Cup as a whole? All we talked about was the flair that Brazil played with and how fun they were. Well they fuckin lost and Ronaldinho hasn't done shit since. Today is a different story because it is game 1 against a Croatian squad that lost most of its best players in the last 4 years. The Croats are not to be taken lightly, but all the hype and the greatness of players like Neymar and Hulk should help the Brazilians pull off a 3-1 or 3-0 win to start the tourney.
