Soooooper Saturday!

MLB Picks

WAS (-1.5) vs PHI (OVER 7) (WINNERx2)
The Natties REALLY let me down yesterday! They probably killed a bunch of parlays as well, when Joel Zimmerman went out early with an injury. Well today Steven "Seven Scoops" Strasburg takes the hill and I think the Natties will back him up with some runs. Is it just me or has Strasburg not seemed awesome this year. Not bad, just not Strasburgian? Oh well, either way, he gives up 3 runs and the Nats score 5.

Detroit Tigers (+117) @ Kansas City Royals (WINNER!)
The Tiger's hottest pitcher this season, Rick Porcello, is in tonight. The Tigers followed their 16-4 blowout win 2 nights ago with a close 2-1 victory last night.  The close score might have some sports betters wondering if it's time for Los Tigres to head into another 3-4 game slump; I'm not one of those people.  The Tigers have taken a commanding 6.5 game lead in the division over 2nd place Kansas City.  They're riding a 5 game win streak heading into tonight.  What's even more comforting for me as a sports better is the way the Tigers have been winning.  They've had 2 wins where their bats took the game out of the other teams hands and a couple close wins where good pitching and solid defense was called upon and responded well.  Right now the Tigers look like they can win any type of game you want to throw at them.  Against the Dodgers they fell behind 0-5 after just 2 innings; not only did they respond but they responded with a vengeance, scoring 14 unanswered runs.  I fully expect the Tigers to continue rolling tonight and increase their lead in the division.
