This should open the door for a couple parlays, as the Cards are a lock to win today with Wainwright on the ground. Despite a disappointing season, STL is still the Spurs/Patriots organization of baseball and I expect some professionalism and competitive fire as they try to hold their wild card spot. Wainwright dominates the Padres. This year he is 5-2 with a 1.20 ERA in seven starts against those Californian hippies and last year, he went 2-0 with a 1.76 ERA.

DEN (+4.5) vs. SAN FRAN (under 41.5, -110)
(WINNER! WINNER!)This is basically my “lets pile on a shitty quarterback” pick of the week. Blaine Gabbert is the back up for San Fran and he will see extensive action in the second half. The 49ers could jump out to a huge early lead and still end up losing this game by double digits, Gabbert is that awful. The expectation is Peyton won’t play more than a handful of snaps and I wouldn’t be surprised if he struggles to move the ball against the Niners. Take the under and the anti-Gabbert ML.
