Thursday Night UPSET CITY

Montreal (+120) @ NY Rangers

This is one of those tough, OG 6 match ups that the NHL lives for.  The public is feeling the Rangas at home, but if you want to make money you’ll throw your dollars on the Habs.  The French Canadians are taking this one.  Carey “Boss Man” Price will be in net for the Canadiens tonight.  Montreal is slipping out of the division race a bit, but I can’t stress enough how much I don’t expect that to continue.  This club is going to win a lot of games this half of the season, just watch.

Detroit (+130) @ Tampa

Eastern Conference Finals preview?  Yeah, that’s exactly what this is.  The Wings will be without their starting goalie, Jimmy Howard, but don’t let that scare you.  The Red Machine has won 6 straight and 11 out of 14 games.  That includes a 6 game road trip that took them from coast to coast.  The Wings are rolling in Motown and I don’t think Tampa will come out on top even with Stamkos.

Columbus (+135) @ Florida

I’m calling for 2 upsets in the Sunshine State tonight.  The Blue Jackets have consistently bested the Panthers, winning 5 consecutive meetings dating back to last February.  Both these clubs are lower tier this season in the NHL.  The difference for me is that the Jackets don’t belong in the lower tier.  They have the talent to be playoff material but injuries got them worse than Tiger’s ex-wife with a 9 iron.  Columbus rolls on the road.

OVER/UNDER: OVER 5.5 (+110)

Dallas (-115) @ Ottawa 

This pick comes down to Jamie Benn and Tyler “Stink Bomb” Seguin.  The public seems to agree with me, which isn’t always a good thing since there are a lot of stupid people, but this time they're in the right.  The Stars should go to work on the Sens tonight.

Arizona (+130) @ Toronto

That’s right, rolling the Yotes tonight.  Toronto is straight up dusty.  They are the grocery sticks of the NHL;  just like your grandma marks where her groceries separate from those in from of her, the Leafs are the marker between the teams that have a shot and those that don’t.  TOTES THE YOTES tonight.

Smashville (+130) @ Saint Louis

Smashville is 6-2 in their last 8 and STL is 7-1 in their last 8.  This game ain’t gonna be easy but I like the Preds here.  Take this pick with several grains of salt.  STL is a solid ass team:  Oshie and Tarasenko? That’s tough to bet against.  The Preds have THAT team though this year.  That kinda team that has all the pieces in place and finds ways to win the tough games and wins those game 6’s and game 7’s.  Those kind of teams that come along every decade or so and just have exactly what it takes to win HUGE games.  This is definitely a potential playoff match up and I expect the Preds to roll.

Buffalo (+160) @ Edmonton

Shit, if I’m rolling dogz today then I’m ROLLING dogz.  Buffalo over Edmonton, ROLL IT!  Edmonton is the Jenkem of the NHL.  Buffalo is the middle aged hippie who refuses to learn how to use a computer.  What would you rather pick, a fermented bag of shit or a middle aged pot head?
