Wasted Wednesday Picks

After an absolutely dreadful night and extended post all-star game slump; your boy Bobby Catz is back in the building with some winning pickz!! Tonight is one of those nights where every single game looks attractive, like when you haven't gotten laid in a while and all of a sudden that five you work with starts lookin' like a seven. Well, lets bang a couple of seven's out and see what happens, this time hopefully I won't be left having to pay child support!

NYK (+14) vs. IND
We debated rolling this line for a solid twenty minutes. There is absolutely nothing attractive about this Knicks team and they got absolutely blowed out by Sacramento last night. Throw in the little cherry on top of Coach Fisher saying that from now on the offense has to run through Alexy Schved because of the inconsistency coming from other players. BUT, even after all of that...The Pacers don't blow anyone out and they can't shoot threes. Take the Pizzoints.

UTAH (+1) vs. BOS
GObertUtah actually got better by trading Enes Kanter away a few weeks ago. This allowed them to play Rudy Gobert more which led to him pulling in 24 boards in last night's upset win against Memphis! So they should have no problem tonight against Boston right?? This game will definitely be closer than it should, but Utah should get the victory.

SAC (+10.5) vs. SAS
I think DeMarcus Cousins has finally bought in to the idea that George Karl actually knows how to run a basketball team and they make actually win some games now. Sure they got hot from three last night and it led to their most lopsided win of the season. They probably won't be able to sustain that, but they still have a pretty good shot at stealing this game. The Spurs have been colder than George Gervin lately and with every surprising loss, the team that destroyed LeBron and the Heat in last years final looks light years away.

Mr. Nutz

CHA (+5.5) vs BK
This season has been a mess for Catz and I. No, I'm not talking about our picks, but our constant confusion when it comes to Charlotte and New Orleans! Why did we decide that doing a big ol name swaparoo was a good idea?! I still don't know which team is which! Anyways, take my advice on my pick here, because I know my shit...The Hornetcatz are fighting for a playoff spot with BK, and as we learned last year, they have what it takes to contend (in the East). Al Jefferson has started to hit his stride and new acquisition Mo Williams has taken on the perimeter scoring role in Kemba Walker's absence. The Nets have really come along with Lionel Hollins' coaching, but I think this one is a closely contested 8th seed battle.

MEM (+3.5) vs HOU
This is the pick I am least confident about. The Grizz have been struggling mightily on offense for about a month now. They should be at full strength now that they have ZBo back from illness and Tony Allen back from suspension. If anyone can slow down James Harden, it's Tony Allen.

DET (+5) at NO
Man I feel bad for Detroit. They really should be in the playoffs, but waited too long to make the J Smoove move. Their squad is definitely talented enough to make it into the post season, but they're going to have to win games against other .500 or worse teams. This is why you pay SVG the big bucks.
