NCAA Prop Bets

Tonight is the men's national championship game between the fab five freshmen of Kentucky and the Uconn Huskies led by Shabazzketsbiscuitskemba Napier. After looking at the spread of this game I decided that I like these two teams too much to pick an outright winner so instead I figured I would throw some prop bets out there!

Under 14.5 points for Aaron Harrison (Kentucky, -120)
Before the season started I was really excited for this Kentucky team and specifically the Harrison twins. Then the games started and not only did these two look confused, lost and highly overrated, but at times they didn't even look like college level players. Then the tournament started and all of sudden Aaron was driving at will and knocking down NBA range threes with a hand in his face. So why am I picking him to go under 14.5 points tonight? Because I really like the veteran backcourt of Napier and Boatright to pressure the hell out of him and force someone else on Kentucky to beat them. Look for Aaron to have a decent game possibly even hitting another game winning three, but for his point total to stay under 14.5

Over 15.5 points for Julius Randle (Kentucky, -130)
Going off of my last thought, for Kentucky they are going to need a big game from their post players, and there are few posts that do it better in college right now than Randle. Look for him to dominate the undersized Huskies down low getting to the free throw line at least 8-10 times and scoring at least 20 points.

Under 13 points for James Young (Kentucky, -120) and under 1.5 3pt's made (-105)
Another casualty of the backcourt defense of Uconn. Young is probably the only player on Kentucky who hasn't redeemed himself this postseason for the Catz. I sold my stock on him earlier this season and do not plan on buying anymore anytime soon. Look for the awkward lefty "scorer" to struggle, not even hitting the double digit mark as we double up on his lack of scoringtonight!

Over 18 points for Shabazz Napier (UCONN, -130) and over 2.5 3pt's made (-140)
Shabazz is the reason the Huskies are playing tonight and has done well for me all season long. I'm expecting nothing less from Shabuckets tonightas he continues his hot tournament play dropping at least 20-25 against the Harrison twins.

Will Aaron Harrison make his first shot attempt: No (Kentucky, -160)
This is going off what was said earlier, I think the freshmen starts out a little nervous and never settles in to a groove.

Bonus Pick
Under 136 as a combined total! (-115)

This is a culmination of everything I have said above. I think this game will be sloppy and no rhythms will be established until late in the second half. Look for a 65-60 type finish.i
